It was a walking ice cream salesman operating on Hastings beach in the 1960's. He used to carry a large white box (presumably insulated) and would spend hours on a sunny day shouting those words to attract custom. I've no idea if he was employed by someone or running his own business. We used to see him east of the pier, but I'm not sure how big his patch was. I just wondered if anyone else remembered him.
