Good to have such a large number of members, but do you have the data on how many members actually visit the site - per week, per month, etc???

Hi Richard, yes that one's easy. Sitewide we get an average of 40,000 unique visitors per month. More in the summer and less in the winter for obvious reasons. The forum alone averages just over 2,000 unique visitors per month. Divide by 30 to get a daily average. You can also see the counter in the bottom left of each page for daily running totals sitewide.

Hmmm, sorry but I'm not convinced by those stats, as hit counters are notorious for thinking that the same IP address hitting twice is two different "unique visits".

But more importantly it seems unlikely that the Forum gets 2,000 different members logging in every month - that surely cannot be correct if you only have 1,596 members!!!

Surely there is a record (from the login log) of how many different members are logging in??

We are talking visitors to the forum and not logged in members. I have no stats on that but much much lower I can guarantee. Unforrtunately most people prefer to read the posts rather than take part.
