Missing cat: please help

Postby Christian » Wed Jul 04, 2012 8:49 am

Ernie has been missing from Markwick Terrace since Saturday 30 June. If you live in the area, please, please check your gardens, sheds and garages he has a knack for getting himself shut in to strange places! He is a gentle boy with pale ginger and white fur, and orange eyes. He needs daily medication for a heart condition. If you think you might have seen him, please call Christian on 07870 567571 or email him on ashchurch@hotmail.com. Also please email or post if you can recommend other good places to spread the word. Thank you.

Ernie returned on Saturday morning. We think he must have been shut in somewhere by someone going away on holiday, given that he was away for a fortnight exactly. He's a little thinner and a little needier of affection, but generally fit and well. Thanks to all of you who looked at this post and who kept your eyes open for Ernie. We have been very touched by the eagerness of the local community to help and the kind words of encouragement we received over a difficult two weeks.

Christian, you were lucky, we had ours stolen (a male called "Tiger") at a time when they were made into fur gloves (or hats)
We never saw it again of course but I hope someone was happy with the gloves

(Only male cats are used as the nipples of female cats reduces the usable size of the skin)

That is shocking, cats are the most lovely animal to me and I hate to think that people could do such things to defenceless animals.sorry to hear that Richard.

Do you know this happened to your cat Richard or are you just guessing?

The majority of cats that go missing are either ill and go away to die or get killed on the road. Yes there are some scare stories but they are by far the minority.

Female and male cats both have nipples.
