Hi,
I'm new to the area and would welcome any suggestions on good value garages for service/mot. in St Leonards near the sea front

I take my car to Hillcrest Garage on Tower Road I've found them to be good and not expensive. It's about a 20 mins walk from the seafront though.

Try Langleys on the Ponswood Industrial Estate. Good, honest and reliable. I've used them for a couple of years as have my wife and daughters and their friends. Never had any problem with them at all. Reasonable charges as well.

When I lived nearer to Hastings I used Vic Homewood in Ellenslea Road (behind Warrior Square station, so quite near the front). Never had any problems with the work or the charges.

Vic was really good but unfortunately he gave up the business a few years back. There's still a workshop there but couldn't vouch for how good they are.

It's quite a walk from the front though.
