Has anyone any information on the PCSOs who were required to resign last August over allegations of taking money from traders for favours?

The Romney Marsh Herald has printed the story (finally) Lydd and District Cllr C Goddard has admitted that he was sacked. He was a PCSO in Hollington and Old Town areas.Any information on the misconduct would be appreciated the police are hiding the truth.

Why not ask them citing the Right to Information Act? Make 'em squirm!!

Hastings police have already refused FOI request They hide behind DATA Protection Act. Surely some of the Old Town traders know what was Allegedly going on?

They probably do but are wisely keeping schtum - their livelihoods depend on it. What a sick joke the FOI has turned out to be! 'Ask whatever you like and we'll decide how much to tell you.' Come the revolution bruvvers!

Like all legislation there are rules, regulations and definitions. As this was a dismissal and was not seemingly a criminal prosecution and it is a personnel and personal, employment matter it would not as such be subject to automatic FOI. I expect that most people would object to their personal employment files being subject to general perusal.

A refusal to disclose under FOI is subject to appeal to the Information Commissioner who will investigate.

No one in an ordinary job wants their private business published but a public servant, a councillor , and PCSO should be beyond reproach.

And fully accountable to the public, their paymasters? They often think of themselves as our masters rather than what they really are - our servants. And that includes politicians. God how I loathe politicians!!
