Looking for possible descendants of a family named Seaman. Their house was (in 1927) : Fernside, Hollington Park, St
Leonard's on Sea. Charles E. Seaman was a clergyman (Church of England). He was married to Winnie Seaman, and they had 2
sons : Jack was in the indian civil service (in India during the twenties), while Harold was a navy officer posted in
Hong Kong and Singapore. Charles had a brother, Albert, also living at Fernside, Hollington Park.
They were related to my great great grandmother, Henriette Bell, who had married a French. I am french myself, and I
recently came across a box of old letters (1880-1932) archived by my grandmother and forgotten since she died 40 years
ago. If anyone knows something about the Seaman family of St Leonard on Sea, I would be most grateful to hear about it.

Re: Seaman
In 1926 Brig.Surg.Lieut.Col.A.B. Seaman resided at Fernside, then the clergyman in 1933,no Seaman recorded in 1939..probably the house became too big to maintain, the house became a nursery and later a school. There was in 1939 a Miss Seaman who lived at 127 Braybrooke Road, and a R.Seaman who lived at 18 St.Helens Down Rd and they were still in resident in the 1950's,at present there are Seaman in the local telephone directory but whether they are related I know not..
