Many years ago, I worked at that site when several of the properties were owned by a pharmaceutical wholesaler (Bradley and Bliss). The long grey building at the front could certainly have been stables originally. It had old sliding doors at the front that were large enough to walk a horse through. They were sealed up at the time I was there. There was a basement as well that wouldn't have been accessible to horses. I spent far too much time peering through the small windows at the back to watch shipping passing up and down the Channel.

The second isn't easily readable, owing to the large amount of text, but if you copy the image to your own device, you should be able to increase the size and make it more readable.
