Hi If you have any access to one of the family history sites or British Newspaper archive and put the family name in to search Hastings Observer or Pictorial advertiser it may come up with various references. There is a possibility that the Football Association may have a website.

Maz
I have found one reference to Ted in an Observer dated 13 April 1907
