Robert,
Your request is too non-specific to enable anyone to help you.
It would be useful if you were able to provide a date span that you wish to establish information.
In addition do you have interest in certain named people.?
Do you have interest in specific issues, such as employment, schooling, marriage, residency.?

I knew the owners of the above house (120) in the middle 50s to early '60s, if that helps.

Hello I do know someone whom was working in the children's home and she was Jamaican and her surname was either Reekes or Reakes. it was around the time of the late 80's.
I hope that is helpful.

I was at Glenside with my brother Charlie, I was 3 when we went there. we left when I was 7 years old. We would of lived there between 68-72. We went to the convent school down the road. Would be nice to know if anyone remembers us.

Re: glenside children's home 120 old london road hastings
The home closed because the foundations were going and it moved up to st Leonards but it didn't open as a children's home it opened as a mentally disturb people. But glenside closed down not just because it's falling down nobody could run that home like Mrs Banham and she retired and the people who took over after her they were ill treating some of the kids in the home so I had no alternative is to report them to social services which they came the following day and removed them.
