Palmer family history

[Margaret O'Byrne]

I am researching the family history of my Grandfather Charles William PALMER who was born in St Leonard's-on-Sea, Hastings in 1877. He went on to the Boer war in South Africa then migrated across to West Australia in 1906.
His parents were Job and Clara PALMER (Clara's maiden name is registered as Palmer on her wedding certificate).
The 1881 census shows them living at 26 Alexandra Tce, Hastings St Leonards, Sussex. The census also shows there were 3 children at the time, Ellen, Charles W. (my G'father), and Minnie. There were 3 lodgers also registered at the time, William FREWN, Arthur FITNEES and Margaret HELY.
