I have lived in mount pleasant road now for 6 years and i'm appalled at the speed which vehicles come down from priory raod the er has been 2 bad accidents in this hill in the past few weeks dur to the speeding down the hill. over the period that I have lived here there has been quite a few accidents mostly related to speed. cars going off the road into the house opposite and hanging over the drops to thier basements. And I myself a victim of unroad worthly vehicles being allowed on the roads. 2 years ago I had a open back vehicle run backwards down the hill out of control into my garden wall. please lets try to get the speed cut down. I have writen to the council suggesting that at the top of Mount plasant road a mini roundabout in installed this would make vehicles slow down before coming down the hill after the speed camera that does abosolutly nothing where it is to deter speeding on the hill . also giving the right of way to vehicles coming up the hill to turn right into priory road that way stopping the conjestion on the hill.

I can fully sypathise with Dorothy and no,there is really no excuse for speeding in town but I do feel that much of this comes from the frustration caused by the bottle neck created by the council when they decided to make the top end of Priory road virtually one way.

I like the mini roundabout idea, i'd love to see more of these and far less speed humps. The roads are far too bumpy without manufactured humps to contend with too.
