The new pavement widening scheme. Now complete along Marine court.
I've never noticed hoards of pedestrians jostling for space as they look at the marvels of St Leonards, it's not an overused piece of pavement. IThe work has reduced parking spaces (I cynically know why
) and had the added effect of forcing unloading lorries further out into the road where we can no longer pass cos we're forced into oncomming traffic. What a complete c*ck up.The pavements are overstretched infront of Pelham cresent but now the pavements could land a Jumbo jet. The congestion will be terrible come the summer as taxis double park to pick up the Bingo crowd and Lorries unload.
We had good wide roads that enabled drivers to pass obstructions safely and now they've gone.
Surely it would have been better to wait untill the bypass thingy was sorted.
