Drugs and Robbers

I have been living in St Leonards for 7 weeks and have witnessed a "druggy" couple threatening people along the sea front. I have spotted them 4 times on different days around the time of 1 - 2 pm. They have also threatened my friend and her three young children on the sea front, when she reported this to the police they said there is nothing they can do! I have reported them numerous times after I have seen them threatening the older generation on the promonade. Watch out people, Hastings and St Leonards is a lovely place but some nasty people about.

I have to say I have never had a problem either but of course there are undesirables like anywhere else these days. I am suprised the police wouldn't deal with them threatening a young family. I would have thought drugged and disorderly is the same as drunk and disorderly and they are obliged to take action.

I agree, I have lived in many cities and towns and seen this everywhere especially being a publican but just wanted to post so people are aware :)

If you think this is an issue or if you are at all upset then phone your M.P.'s office and arrange an appointment
I can't remember who is the M.P. for the area ??
M.P.'s have a day each week when they will meet the public to discuss their problems (that is what they are there for)
M.P.'s are there to help their constituents and would be only too willing to send a letter of complaint to the Police on your behalf

People often don't realise they can use their M.P. and it is their right as a citizen

The local council also have a responsibility for people's safety and well being in relation to anti-social behaviour and similar issues. I seem to remember that the Warrior Squ area was at one time patrolled and that Bottle Alley was suposed to be alcohol free. There were issues of people being moved on in that area.

Contact the Council and ask for Community safety or anti social behaviour dept.
