Why no "cheap shoes" in Hastings ?

Postby Richard » Tue Aug 02, 2011 9:56 pm

Public expectation for shoes to be quite expensive as a rule is a perception which is hard to break because we are conditioned by the prevalence and reliance upon 'High Street' Brands which understand the high prices their sustained market presence can support

To be fair these usual outlets/culprits may be OK :-
"Clarks" , "Jones the Boot" or possibly some Sports shops selling 'Trainers' (famous brands or otherwise)

Are there any shops retailing cheap shoes like "Deichmann" in the area ?
:(

The shoe shop opposite Argos sells cheap shoes and Shoe Zone in Priory Meadow is pretty low price too.

Good luck.

Hello..
why don't you want shoes from Hastings? I bought shoes in Hasting at an affordable price.

I tend to buy karrimor 'trainers' from Sports Direct (site of the old Woolworths) the sort of shoe that looks very naff on an older man wearing a suit.
I note that Jones the boot, near Debenhams, are closing down now, either they can't compete with 'online' or the management is not great.
