Shop in fags bust

Postby roy » Thu Oct 20, 2011 11:25 pm

Some shops in Hastings have been raided after a investigation by the BBC and others.
I went past one shop today on London Road and it had lots of police outside and a camera crew.

Regards 'smuggling' Hastings has always been 'up for it' by dint of it's Maritime history and at one time even the local magistrates were involved and turned a 'blind eye'
what views does anyone have on this modern day equivalent?

The article states some were 'smuggled' presumably meaning not just the personal allowance 'duty paid' goods that are much cheaper anyway but not 'legal' to sell in shops?

If some were 'Fake Fags' the authorities will, ofcourse, maintain these are potentially dangerous as unregulated tobacco manufacture can include more dangerous chemicals !! :S
