Bit girly of him to go running to the Manager even if you had made a mistake in his eyes.
Most Gay people are commonly seen under an umbrella of two extreme types :
1. Camp and enjoying attention and all manner of double-entendre, by the bucket-load.
2. Macho tough persona thing and don't welcome their 'tendency' being drawn to anyone's attention at all.
The Camp Blonde contrary to no.1 above could not cope with a bit of friendly banter ??
If it had been me behind the bar I would have managed the situation and been perfectly calm and polite to you and given you a good experience.

Must go and check that place out - it sounds hilarious.

whatever it is I don't think it will last very long .
i mean it is not as if this is central London where there are hundreds of people to be rude to each and every night.

Looked on their webiste and it sure wont last long when they are charging London prices,GBP4 for a lager is way too much for this area.

which brings on the question of where is the cheapest beer in Town?
Every time I go out and ask for a pint of beer and a half of shandy it comes to GBP5 or more.
This is not my idea of sensible prices and probably explains why people drink supermarket stuff at home or even take drugs..

The cheapest I have found is Weatherspoons, you can get decent lager for GBP2 49 a pint(tuborg) and on mondays its only GBP2 15 a pint,or calsberg which is about the same.

called the St Leonards in London Road

http://www.thestleonard.co.uk/

read its "Pub Etiquette" top menu tab on the right somewhere.

"If there are lots of other people standing at the bar drinking and not waiting to order a drink, ask someone to let you get to the bar in order to get a drink dont push in. When youve got your drinks, leave the bar. Dont stay where you are, because it will annoy the people who let you in. If people are queuing to order drinks, wait your turn. A good way to start a fight in a pub is to try to push to the head of a queue two minutes before closing time."

The website is quite apalling in hard to read grey and black

- The St Leonard
I have been in this pub quite a few times since reading this post, it keeps restricted hours to stop clashing with street drinkers but it has been busy every time I have gone in there. Really quirky decor and I found the place pleasant and very friendly- you get free bowl of popcorn with your beer!

What's not to like?
