Not in my back yard

Postby Richard » Fri Apr 03, 2015 7:24 pm

I note that a number of residents near me are now engaged in some sort of 'Arms-Race' to erect the biggest 'shed' or similar, in their garden space.
Is there any 'Planning Control' on what exactly is permitted these days?
This might seem a bit 'petty-minded' but being overlooked by an enormous shed can seem slightly out of character and can occur almost 'overnight'.

I guess different Councils have varying attitudes to what is acceptable or what requires 'planning permission'.
