Power Cut this morning

Postby Richard » Sat Sep 05, 2015 6:40 pm

Around 9 am the power went off in my house today, just as I was getting my mother ready to take her on a long train journey, back to her home in Cheshire.
I wasn't sure if I had left any of the lights on at home, before leaving by taxi, because you can't always tell with the bathroom switch pull and two-way switching hall lights.
Does anyone know when the power was restored, please?

A bit of a botheration really but at least I have low energy bulbs in case I did leave any on.

I know, the modern bathroom pull switch is so annoying. I'm sure on and off used to make a different sound in the good old days. I have an extractor with a 10 minute delay, I can never tell whether I have actually remembered to turn it off when I leave.
