Cafe des Arts

Postby Richard » Mon Apr 18, 2016 9:48 am

Oh what a shame!
This has been ruined - was it the Austerity Cuts?
Now, instead of a vibrant Cafe serving a wide menu, we have a drastically reduced offering.
None of the friendly old staff and little of the old atmosphere.
I understand the cafe was a place to give people with Autism a chance to gain experience of work and it was always packed.
For seven years I had been going there and now it is a poor relation to its former self.

I agree with you - I used to go there a lot, but won't bother in future.
Both the food and drink and the atmosphere have gone downhill.
a great pity!

I have to say that the food has improved a lot recently.
Now you can get bacon and toasted rye bread sandwiches, after breakfast time, as long as they are not too busy with orders.
Still less variety on the main meals but even better ingredients now!!
:D
