Pelham Beach Pipe

When last I looked the huge Iron beach Pipe in 4 sections had been carted up to the roadside, well away from the site it once occupied acting as a surface-water-discharge pipe
I wondered what plans there were to replace it or whatever.
Is this the end of an era?
