Okay, so lets make a definitive list

Aquarius
Xenium
Saturdays
Cloud 10
G-Spot
Saturdays
Waves

Is that the right order?

Anyone know when the first nightclub opened there?

The first nightclub (or disco as they used to be called) I can recall in Hastings is the Witch Doctor in Marine Court. There was also one in the High Street called the Hi Fi, which burnt down under somewhat odd circumstances if my memory serves me correctly.

As for Saturdays, which is the name I remember most and like many people, I still call it by that name today, I only went there a few times, but I used to work in the amusement arcade downstairs. I believe that many years ago this building was either a brewery or a brewer's warehouse.

There's another one left off the list called Rustys or Dustys (something like that)!

Terry mentioned the Witch Doctor. When I was researching my book I interviewed a number of people in Hastings, one of whom, Peter Skinner, told me about his youth culture in the 1960s. This is an extract from it.

Hendrix played there as did David Bowie.

My dad was a dorrman there occasionally and at the Fiesta and the JB club in the old town. Mid/Late 60s

What's the old witch doctor used for now?
