Oratavia

Postby local_lass » Thu Feb 21, 2008 2:03 pm

Hi all.

Is there anyone who can tell me anything about the house that once stood on the site of Sandown School. I understand that it was called Oratavia and that during the mid 1900s behind the house was used as a race track for bikes. Its the house im interested in. Does anyone have any pictures as none exist in the local history books.

There has been quite a few posts about Oratavia and the speedway on our message boards before.

Try searching the forums with the word "speedway" and you should find the threads. Also a photo of the old Ridge Eagles team if I remember correctly.
