Conquest Hospital

I read somewhere that there was an alternative site proposed for the new hospital.

Anyone know where it was?

My Wife who has served at the RESH and Conquest remembers a proposal that Summerfields be used as a site. To build a phase 1 hospital on Summerfields, move St helens and the RESH into it, demolish the RESH and build a phase 2 of the Hospital there_ _ __ _ __ _ _.There were strong arguments for a centralised Hospital.

My wife is not sure how serious this proposal was.
