If you walk along the front at Eversfield Place is it called "The
Esplanade", " The Promenade" or what?
Also is the pier at St Leonards in the same location it has always
been close to the Royal Victoria. Is the pier open all winter and if
so has it always been open in winter???? What is there on the
pier now and many years ago (1930's)?

I've never heard of it called anything but the Promenade.
The St Leonards Pier was opened by Lord and Lady Brassey in 1891, suffered damage during the Second War and was demolished in 1951.

Alas no St Leonards pier, but there's more information about it in the history section of this site.

Welcome to the forums Jan, some good replies - thank you.
