Re: old buildings
In 1898 my grandparents and one of my aunts and her husband lived at number 78 All Saints Street. My grandmother was also listed as a 'wardrobe dealer' at the same address. I live in West Wales Iam now in my 80th year so coming to Hastings is no longer an option. Is it at all likely that the building in question is still there and if so is there some way that I could purchase a photograph of it? My sincere thanks for any help you may be able to offer_ _ _.Regards Ernest Towner

Mastin Bros Ltd Drapers, Castle Street/Breeds Place. Does anyone have a photograph of either of these shops in the early 1900's, please. Thank you, Beryl.

Fermain was a ladies school ,it may have been turned into the Westerleigh Prep school for the public schools and Dartmouth,it could be No.17 but whether it is still there I do not know, your best bet is the reference library they have old maps which should tell you precisely where it was.
