1 Wellington Mews, Hastings
Has anyone found an old photograph of this address please? Thankyou
Re: 1 Wellington Mews, Hastings
Not sure what it looks like now really.
Google' shows it as a vegetable warehouse 'J. Fountain & Sons' but a number 10 is visible on the blue doors.
I suspect it may be at the lower end, junction with Stonefield Place.
Most of the houses there are heavily guarded with iron-grill door protection.
In the mid-section old storage rooms predominate.
What sort of dates were you thinking of GlynisHastings?

It is not the type of thing that is likely to have been taken for general interest. Fountains at the other end of the street were a wholesale fruit & vegetable suppliers. who used to deliver to my parents shop.
Attached is a current Google map image. You can see the number 3 on the door on the right foreground which means that the door furthest away is No 1. The note at the top right of the picture says No 5 but that is probably that the position of the camera was taken from that point. Given the architecture of the building it suggests that it is late 19th century when that area was developed. It does not look modern so if you wanted an old one, apart from the paint work nothing would be different

I meant to say that no. 1 may be at the lower end, i.e. the junction with Stonefield Place.
Clearly 'Fountains' were more towards the higher end, no's 42-54, where Junk sales are nowadays carried out, on a Saturday, near Elford street.
