Church of England School

Hi people
does anyone know if the Halton Schools were Church of England Schools when they were in use in the 1910-20s?

Anglican churches were in the majority in the overall area and well-supported by the Bishop of Chichester, it is likely that benefactors were C of E and the education was C of E.
Waldegrave or Milward often donated money to fund religious building works and public subscription also helped.

Church-based education was transitioning to the State by the 1910-1920 period, I think.

1874 map shows National Schools (Boys Girls & Infants)

1899 & 1909 just show Schools

That seems to clinch it then.
National Schools were Anglican and whether or not the state had taken over around the period in question is the only grey area.
