Does anyone know the location of some buildings known as Spring Cottages that existed in the St Mary in the Castle ward in the 1870s

In the National Archives they hold the
'Deeds of 8 -9 Portland Place , Hastings ( formerly Spring Cottages)

That is just by what is/was known as Pepper Steps leading from Castle Hill
