New Beach and Seafront Map

Postby Geoff » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:00 pm

I have been asked on numerous occassions about our beach facilities and regulations, such as lifeguard patrols, dog walking, parking and disabled facilities etc.

With this in mind I have drawn up a map to show what's what and would appreciate any feedback.

Beach and Seafront Map

Do you think the font is too small? I can just about read the street names but they won't go any bigger and still allow me to show the whole map. I could do a click to enlarge if necessary. What does everyone think?

Thanks

Geoff

I think people will find that map very helpful, nice one :) But like you've mentioned I think some people may find reading some of the text quite difficult.

What might be handy is if you created a larger copy in PDF format, allowing users to not only view an enlarged copy but also print it off and keep.

Good idea, should be useful for visitors_ _ __ _ _..I think the public launch at the drill hall has been closed.
Other info that could be added:-

Location of rock pools.
Link to BBC tide predictions
Link to WindGuru weather and sea state forecasts, used by windsurfers and dinghy sailors.
