_ _ _could we have a topic dedicated to matters related to anything to do with improving our neighbourhood ?

perhaps called "Neighbourhood Watch"

There we could report crime and possibly, one day, arrange for matters to be discussed online with local Police ?

Hi Richard, thanks for the suggestion. I am thinking our existing "Locals have your say" section covers this but if we have a few more members in agreement I don't see why not.

I can say that the initiative from the local Police to provide gates that can be locked and which access the numerous back alleyways in Hastings was very well judged as a measure to cut casual crime / theft.

We should go out of our way to reward this kind of thinking ??
