I was wondering if anyone else is interested in pets,and maybe we could have a pets corner on here so like minded owners can have a chat_ _ __ _ _anyone interested??

I did mean people in the Hastings area, especially dog owners, as i have 2 dogs but no-one for company on my walks_ _ __ _ _and my dogs love socialising or am i the only dog lover in this neck of the woods??????

I wouldn't mind a pet dog or something but not sure I fancy the 'poo' to be picked up with plastic bags
Or the hairs dropped all over the floor and the smell of doggy infront of the fire !!
Peeing on every lamp post or sniffing at every other dog urinal
Or the barking and annoying the neighbours
Or having to go out 3 times a day in all weathers !!

Aaahhh but they have there upsides :
You have to to take them out so you stay fitter!
They don't answer back or give you back chat! (unless you count the barking).
They are always pleased to see you.
They see every side of you and don't judge.
They see you naked and don't laugh :w00t: (or tell anyone about that odd birthmark or whatever it maybe). And they are my best friends.

Two dogs makes sense as just one could be lonely on its own
The main problem I have is what do you do if you live on your own when you go out shopping or whatever?
They have to be left at home_ _ _

is there a local stray dogs place in/near Hastings?

barby keel, bexhill, have many animals for rehoming,when i shop my 4 legged friends wait at home but do expect a treat now as that is dog law!!!!!! :w00t:

I've seen one in Robert Dyas without being kicked out but suspect most shops have a 'no dogs' policy?

If I have a friend with his 'Scottie' over we have to choose pubs carefully
The Hastings Arms and Filo seem happy to allow them inside_ _ _

I have yet to be ejected from a pub due to my dogs and (in summer) its a great reason to sit in the garden, but i have been pondering the rescue scenario and i would say try to get them as young as possible so you can rectify any bad habits.
