Quirk in Forum Index sub-headings?

Postby seahermit » Tue Feb 04, 2020 2:46 pm

I think I may have discovered a quirk in the Forum Index! I could not copy the page as it displays but have copied the heading just as a guide:

"Hastings & St Leonards Forum
Free to use public forum for residents and visitors"

In the list of sections which follow, on clicking onto LOCALS HAVE YOUR SAY, the visitor is actually misdirected to MOVING TO HASTINGS! I don't think it is anything with my PC but will check the link again in a minute.

Yes, the misdirection seems to happen each time (I exited the website completely and returned). Sorry to bring this up!

There is a forum index, titled in the menu on the left as 'Forum Index'.
I don't know where you get the option:

"Hastings & St Leonards Forum
Free to use public forum for residents and visitors".

Using 'Forum Index' I have no issues.

If you click on Forum Index and then click on Locals have your say, THAT link seems to work alright.

Difficult to make myself clear! If I go to the website’s home page and then click onto Locals have your say (amongst the boxes which are displayed), I get misdirected to Moving to Hastings.

If I instead click onto Forum Index (top of the page), then onto Locals have your say, it works alright!

seahermit, I see what you mean, I can confirm the link is broken or 'wired' incorrectly.
Perhaps a simple 'typo' mistake, not a bug.

Thanks for that, Richard. I thought it might probably be some broken link.

Hi guys. Thought it was about time I made an appearance. Been super busy with other projects but inevitably always return to me beloved Hastings site.

The link to "Locals have your say" is now fixed. It was indeed a misdirection (typo) on my part. Thanks for pointing this out.
