From hastings, but lived in the USA, for a while, wishing to

I lived in hastings 14 years before I came here and I still vote there, proxy of course. On the same line, I have brought my children up and even had one of my girls there in the old bunchan hospital. I know they have knocked it down, anyway I fell for a guy here in the USA and have lived here 6 years. But I miss Hastings so much. I want to come home soon, My question is can any of you recommend any good private landlords, I am kinda in limbo here. I have spoken to the estate agents and they say I will have to be there before, they can help, once I am there they will sort a home for me. But I will need a home to come too

If you're flat hunting letting agents aren't always the best way to go anyway. I would recommend looking at this site - www.gumtree.co.uk. It doesn't have a specific Hastings page but if you go to the Brighton page and type in 'hastings flat' then a few private rentals come up. Maybe you can contact the landlords and chat to them about your predicament??

I've used gumtree in brighton and it's always worked well for me. There are a few oddballs on there though! Just avoid them!

You could also try looking at www.fridayad.co.uk - there are loads of local rentals on there. Some private.
