Relocating and know nobody 2!!

Postby Ghost » Tue May 06, 2008 7:44 pm

Hi everybody

For all of you who have moved to Hastings/St.leonards recently and are in the same situation as us (know nobody and would like to meet some nice people) or just would like to meet some new people we thought it might be nice to organize a get together.

How about Sunday 18th May at 14.00 in the Blackmarket pub on George street in the old town?

Mikki (see first post) and I have already met and will be there (together with my husband Keith) for sure.

Hope to see you all there.

Hello,

Just to add kids are more than welcome, we will be there with an 8 year old and an 8 month old!

If you are planning on coming (and we hope someone is!!) We will let the staff know that we are a 'Forum Meet' so you can find us easily.

Hope to see you there.

Hi
Thanks for the message re the meeting on Sunday 18 May. I moved in 2 weeks ago, the trauma of moving has faded and sense of humour has returned (I think) so will certainly be there.
Thanks, Jilli

Hi all..
Glad this is happening..
As luck would have it, we (my partner Sarah, 16 month old daughter and three week old son plus me) are visiting Hastings this weekend - need to introduce son to his paternal grandparents and the rest of the Hastngs side of the family. I'm not at this stage sure what our movements will be (elderly relatives are unpredictable..) and it may not be possible, but if we can get along, would an ex Hastings resident who would LOVE to return be welcome - I might even be able to provide a few pointers?!!!
Peter

Hi
Trust it went well - as those who were there will have noticed I wasn't able to make it. I should of course have said in my last message that elderly relatives AND YOUNG CHILDREN are unpredictable!!

As the guy that's got you lot together i'd be honored to tag along.

It would be good to hear any suggestions for the website and hopefully join in with some local banter.

Keep us all posted when you decide the date.

Geoff
