Relocating and know nobody 2!!

I am so glad I have found a site with normal, down to earth, friendly people. Some of the sites I visited today would shock even the most open minded. Myself and 2 kids will be relocating to Hastings from France 22 August. I hope you continue to meet friends on a regular basis and that we may join you in the future. Please keep us all updated via this network.

What a shame we missed the meet up. We're moving to St Leonards on 5 May with our 3 year old son and 8 month old daughter. We don't know anybody there so it would have been nice to meet some other newcomers.

Oh well, perhaps we'll make the next one.

My partner and I are hoping to move to St Leonards very soon. Seen the perfect place at Markwick Terrace online but not actually visited the property yet. Any views on this area would be welcome. Any nice pubs within walking distance or are they all down by the seafront ? My Brother lives near Hastings town which is how I came to know the area, although I really know very little about the community.

As mentioned in a few messages previously, we also have very few connections in that area and I was wondering if there were any plans for furture forum meets ?

I live near the tower pub which is 5min walk from Marwick Terrace, also if you walk to silverhill which is like 10/15mins theres the Welcome Stranger, The Clarence (silverhill) and Bar Diva.

My best mate also lives on Marwick Terrace and its a very quiet place to live and has a nice view out across the gardens opposite, Regarding Parking it can be a pain to find a place but all depends on how far along the road you live.

Local shop would be the newsagents by the Tower Pub at the bottom of Tower Road West and the Co-Op on Bohemia Road,
If you have kids closest primary school would be Christchurch
and Secondary would be The Grove.

Seems logical to me that as you are the administrator of the site and as you rightly say the "the guy that's got us all together" you should be the one to organise the next gathering (date wise). re you up for it? Could be a summer picnic or something. What do you think?[quoted]
