Hastings is run down, rough, overpriced restaurants, not safe to go out at night, I want to move as soon as possible. This is my opinion, others may differ!

Yes you can have fun in Hastings I do regularly.

Who says negative things about Hastings? Try spending a long time here and see it for your self.

I have just moved here and commute daily into London, great service and lovely trains.

The people of Hastings are warm and friendly, sure some might be considered rough. I have yet to meet any of these types that make it not safe to go out at night, utter rubbish I arrive back from London between 1900 and 2300 every day and there is peace and quiet. At weekends the town comes alive and it is full of people enjoying life, as they do in every town and city across the county.

Have I mentioned house prices? What you can buy here for what you can buy elsewhere is unbelievable. A 17th century house for 250k I canny buy a flat in London for that.

Get real Hastings is the place to be, talk it down, and bury you head in the sand (well pebbles).

My son and his girlfriend moved down to Hastings in may they love it,my son is in his twenties and his girlfriend is 19 we are now looking for property so we can move down there to.If you feel you want to be scared to go out your house at night ,try living in Birmingham,Hastings is pardise compared to it.Been on holiday a few times and fell in love with the place, everywhere has problem areas,so don't be put off.

My wife and I stayed in a BandB in Hastings Old Town during the carnival weekend. We had a great time! We had a few drinks in different pubs and people were really friendly, one couple even invited us to their local on all Saints st for a few drinks.

I have lived in Hackney (London) and never felt safe walking round in the evenings, staying in Hastings felt completey safe and my wife and I will definatley return again.
