Point taken Newgirl, but I do think you would have the same problem in any town centre. You either buy/rent a house that comes with parking (which is rare) or you are going to have to walk a bit to get free parking.

For anyone interested, here are the current Hastings Resident Permit costs:

Zones A to F and W
12 Months £75.00, 6 Months £37.50, 3 Months £18.75

Zones G to O
12 Months £35.00, 6 Months £17.50, 3 Months £8.75

Zone S
12 Months £25.00, 6 Months £12.50, 3 Months £6.25
