I am due to move to Hollington in next few weeks or so. Can anyone tell me what the place is like? Is there a good bus service into St Leonards and Hastings.

What about crime and so on - is it bad or just media hype?

Obviously I am looking forward to moving down to the area - but would appreciate honest opinions.

Thank you

Ah, no-one replied to you? To be honest, it depends where.. there are worse areas of St Leonards, and Hollington does have a fair bit of rubbish left on the street, and general disrepair, however, if you're Wisshing Tree, as opposed to Marline Avenue, for instance, it's not too bad_ _ _ I'd consider it as a stop gap, though, not a long term_ _ _ I think it was one of the original council estates, and further council development, including the 4 high rise buildings of council flats. This gives it a bad name, however, there is a Tesco which is ok, even though it is near Tile Barn!! (No offence to anyone there-I have friends up there too!!)

[/quoted] it dosn.t depend on where u live because my opinion is- whereever u live nowdays just b on the ball. i live not 2 far off that way an its the same whereever basicly , so make the best of things, the locals are fine its the overspill which i think creates problems where there is probably not much 2 do, my cars keep gettin vadalised, but leave something outside your door an it gose nowhere, unless its my rubbish they dont like

:P

Like everywhere else, Hollington has its nice parts and the parts you might to avoid. The main reason behind the trouble you hear of in Hollington is normally due to loser chavs who have nothing better to do.
