The Bourne

Can anyone tell me what The Bourne is like? We are thinking of moving there but we have little idea of what the area is like. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Gail and welcome to the forum.
The majority of the Old Town is very desirable these days, probably the most popular area at the moment because of it's unique character, old properties, friendly fishing community and wealth of unique shops.
The Bourne however is on the main A259 through Road so traffic is fairly heavy, but i'm sure you must have visited the area and will realise this. Also parking can be a bit of a problem in the Old Town in general so make sure you have plans for this if you drive.
