Quarry Road, Hastings

My wife and I and our three year old daughter are interested in moving to Hastings (we currently live in Shanghai but wish to return to the UK). Can anyone tell me what Quarry Road (above St James road and close to Alexandra Park) is like? Any real problems? It's a cul-de-sac which should be good? Also, any info about nurseries in the area would be good. How about St Helen's Crescent nursery?Costs? All these questions, I am sorry, but would love your opinions. thanks.
