St Leonards

Postby KJ » Mon Aug 28, 2006 7:18 pm

Having just moved into ST Leonards I cant help but wonder why there is so much negative comment about it on the forum.

The area we are in is very quiet, not a sound can be heard at night.. neighbours are nice, kids quiet_ _ _

So.. whats up with it?

Don't believe the negative hype - the majority of St Leonards is an excellent place to live. No problems here!

Visited St. Leonards twice in May (I was born in Hastings). Lived up North for the last 12 years. Compared to housing estates in Salford and Manchester, I think that St. Leonards is heaven on earth - everyone is friendly and polite, even the youths off the Hollington estate.

I am thinking of buying a property in hastings, but am not sure what are nice areas? everything the estate agents send me are always in st leonards on sea, and they never sell for that much money, which makes me think it is not such a nice area. can anyone help with this? or let me know what areas are nice to live in in hastings?

Reading is a mess of a town. i was born there and stayed for 34 yrs. it took me 7 yrs to get an exchenge from there. im now doing the village life just out side oxford and is 100% better. im coming to hastings in a few months and hope its a bit more lively than hear.from wot iv read and heard about hastings its not a bad place to live and those who keep slaging it off wanna go to reading for a spell and then you will know about a Bad place to live.

I agree, the people who only give negative comments are usually not aware how bad other places are. Or are comparing here with areas that are much more expensive to live in. You can do a lot worse than St Leonards, i'm sure the majority of people that live here agree.
