alexander park area

hi
when and if i ever sell my house in cornwall. We want to move to hastings around alexander park area, i believe this is called the Blacklands.
Or if not blacklands a quite green leafy road. My husband and i are not child friendly, more into our pets. we definatley do not want kids playing in the street. any suggestions?
Are there any definate roads to avoid in hastings , we believe the Ore is not so good.
