Angry purchaser: wanting a good old moan

Postby barmcake » Thu Sep 17, 2009 4:25 pm

Have had my offer accepted on a property - solicitors and surveyor ready to go. Have been trying to get the H.I.P. pack e-mailed to me for the past 5 days. The person I'm told to deal with is always at lunch, just popped out - whatever. Phone calls never returned and a couldn't care less impression is given to me. I really want the house put feel like pulling out because of the estate agent. Why should I put a penny into the prockets of people that can't be bothered. John Bray and other estate agents I visited were really helpful, but this one is awful.

Ahh, I feel better for that.

Oh dear. I think you should definately name and shame the Estate Agents concerned. It might nudge them into getting there act together too :x

who is your estate agent? I am having the same problems.Don't wnt to rock the boat just yet by naming and shaming but would be good to know if same one. I suppose that would indeed name and shame yours anyway.

Sorry to hear about your problems - buying a house is stressful enough!

I kind of regret posting that now because naming them would be bad for business. The Vendor and others have also complained so I know I'm not alone. Maybe I was unlucky?

All I can is liver salts!

Had a problem with an agent who did not get her act together although I aid the move was pressing. It took me to break down into a hissy fit in the office after some weeks for the Boss to come down and ask what was happening. The BOSS was furious at the girl's ineptness and laziness. Got things going pretty quick. Maybe there is someone who you can go higher to? Someone who is interested in running a business. Girl said she was only temping until she went to university and did child psychology. Pity the children. She'll probably send them mad too.
