Slow housing market

I'm in the process of moving from Brighton to Hastings - yes, I know it's what everyone's doing but I love the music scene and Brighton is far too up itself these days. Anyway, I'm having real problems finding a house as there is so little on the market at the moment. Does anyone have an idea of when it picks up in Hastings and St Leonards?
I'm looking for a 4 bed period property with a decent sized garden if anyone has one to sell

I'm in a similar boat, moving from London to St Leonards this summer. Out of the six or seven flats I viewed recenctly there was only one flat with sea views and an outdoor space that I really liked. Looks like there was more on offer around the same time last year.

Thats a decent sum, you should be able to get something that you want for that, assume you have looked at Rightmove?

I'm now hitting a problem with agents as well. They are all too busy to do viewings when I call up. I had three this week say I couldn't view a property as they didn't have anyone to show me round. I'm having to travel to Hastings every night after work to see single properties.

From my experience PCM were the best, Yourmove were pretty good to. We also used Rush Witt and Wilson, who were OK but just didn't have many places that we were interested in.

What agents are you using?
