About in the 50's there was a wide through way for people from St Helens road, just above the high bridge over a stream. It led down towards Stubberfields. On both sides of this walk way were the most magnificent Rhodedendrum trees. They must have been at least 20 or 30 ft tall. When in flower mostly mauve and pink they were absolutely beautiful. I wonder is there anyone around who remember these. Also I wouldn't think so but are they still there .if anyone perhaps has photos of them to post.
