Good Honest Mechanic?

Hi all,

This is my first post on 1066 Online, so please be gentle!

Just wondering if anyone can recommend an honest and reliable mechanic in Hastings, St Leonards, or the surrounding area?

My wife and I recently moved here from Cardiff, and we don't have any contacts to help us out with this sort of thing.

I always think it's better to get a recommendation, and hopefully put more trade towards businesses that deserve it _ _ _

Our car is a Toyota Corolla, so nothing particularly demanding!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I have been using a specialist mechanic over the last couple of years as my car is a bit out of the ordinary. Previous to that I used Hillcrest Garage on Tower Road West, no complaints and not too expensive. Give them a go and see what you think.

With a lack of any other resources for this kind of thing I've also done a bit of calling around today, just to see who sounded like they'd be easy to work with _ _ _

I'll give Hillcrest a call tomorrow, and see how we go from there _ _ _

try Abbe's Autos 46/7 Western Road, St Leonards. Always found him reasonable and a very nice person.

I've used Hillcrest Garage on Tower Road for the past 5 years. Found them friendly, reliable and honest.
