I am now eperiencing the reality that there are too many carpenters on the south coast, but recruitment for carpentry lecturers is still ongoing. I have searched job site checking the whole of the sussex areas and virtually nothing comes up. When a vacancy does come up it turns into a lottery with countless applicants competing, and sadly the more experienced you are the less chance you have of getting the job. Firms seem more interested in the improvers and carpenters with around 2-3 years under their belts where the costs are kept lower. Such is life.
