Young people commonly attempt to gain acceptance or measure up to perceived expectations - on numerous platforms- from crude to subtle and even on subconscious levels - it's instinctive.
Some may pass through stages of being confused about their own sexual identity.
Predators commonly exploit any insecurity and wreak havoc for purposes of their own sexual gratification.
Interference is clearly abhorrent to right-minded people as it corrupts the youth and often causes them no end of mental health issues.
Some children who are sexually abused (hetero or homo-sexually) may then develop a taste for it and start to expect it in later life and fail to develop normally, even visiting it upon others.
Counseling and readjustment therapies take time and money, for the few who are brave enough to come forward, the majority are an unknown factor, hiding feelings of shame and often become overwhelmed by suicidal feelings.

Colin - you usually mention The Daily Mail and The Daily Express whenever you refer to things I have said and you usually refer to seahermit as 'little' or 'she' - but MY remarks are juvenile. You are an old Socialist who knows the dream can never come true and it's everyone else's fault. the World is not fair etc etc. I show a clip of you at the bottom of this post
By the way this other attachment is from The Independent (which is anything but) - remind me who was Prime Minister in 2002 - could it have been a Labour PM? Heaven forfend

Please specify exactly where I have said or implied 'it's everyone else fault'.
What things? Yet another of your generalised comments that suggests more than it proves.

You have still not explained what this is supposed to mean.
"red-eyed, power-to-the-people, it was Fatcha's fault"

Each time I raise tangible facts and arguments you respond with some sort of gobbledgook that no one understands.

Now you have given us a tiny headline from the Indy without actually the detail on which the headline was based. Headlines often don't actually reflect the contents of the article printed. None of the little snippets you have put up are disputed but a few word headline does still not get you to your preferred conclusion. The Guardian is notorious for its misleading headlines. I see a headline think that the article will be relevant only to find that it isn't. I refer to the tabloids that you source your material from, given that it is quite clear where your posts started. It is only necessary to see the layout and know it is a tabloid. It is not detective work or invention

Cbe You are always out to make a cheap political point out of very flimsy information.
Let us look at the Indy headline. The comment appears to have been made by an MP about an unnamed other report. That therefore provides for two potential reintepretations. It also says that The Home Office was aware. It does not say that either the Home Secretary or the Prime Minister were aware. Every item of an issue in a town does not get sent through to ministers. Whether it should is a matter of debate. I don't have any particular brief for many former Labour Home Secs or the then PM although a lot was achieved in social policy terms.

My reference to Seahermit as she, as I have explained, was purely because her writing style indicated a woman, rather than a man. It would not be appropriate to assume someone was male, which is what you seem to think I should have done. I had used 'they ' which I suspect you and she would also object to. I have gone on to use 'little' because she had very little if any actual fact or truth to add to any discussion , just lots of opinion she wanted us to accept as fact. Similar to you.

If Colin assumed that Seahermit was female, then he is an idiot who didn't read my posts properly. Plenty of clues in there. And the use of "little seahermit" was purely to express scorn and contempt - doesn't bother me, it merely demonstrates the sort of person Colin is.

All the bullshit (and a great deal of waffle instead of proper debate) is precisely the reason I have better things to do myself. As CBE said, Labour is faced with the fact that its policies are completely unacceptable to many of the electorate. That's hard for Colin to swallow, hence all the excuses, the blame game and pouring scorn on anyone else's opinions!

I don't think seahermit's gender is relevant.
Although I don't see what is wrong with 'waffle' - seems fairly okay to me.
I use it all the time.
What is proper debate?
Discussion of almost anything without inflammatory comments and ignorant opinions and bickering, which it seems we have all been guilty of really.

As for seahermit agreeing with cbe:
'Labour is faced with the fact that its policies are completely unacceptable to many of the electorate. That's hard for Colin to swallow, hence all the excuses, the blame game and pouring scorn on anyone else's opinions!'.
Clearly not all Labour's policies are unacceptable - that is too great a generalisation for me to swallow and many respectable people (my G.P. for instance) voted labour, although I did not.
Why did my G.P. vote Labour? Was he silly?
Some of Labour's policies may be seen through by older voters but they felt let down by labour politicians not representing their views re- Brexit, that is another matter.

Richard - when you vote for a party, especially if it is YOUR party you look at their manifesto 'commitments' in their entirety and there will be few of us who have ever been happy about everything in our favoured party's manifesto. We normally accept the odd things we do not like but when there are rafts of things that are either unacceptable or unbelievable then you sit on your hands or vote for someone else. This keeps happening to Labour so what are we to make of it?

To be honest cbe, I have never looked at manifesto's, that's all too intellectual for me.
I suspect the same goes for 90% of the voting population.
Voters generally look at what their Party are saying on public media platforms, in order to gain votes, and how much it may affect their 'pockets'.
The recent election won by the Tories saw many Labour voters realising that their wishes (never mind the promises in manifesto's) were being ignored by their own politicians in Parliament, re- their votes to leave the EU, so then a disconnect occurred, as we witnessed.
Swing voters may have other issues in mind but if your M.P. fails to represent your views in Parliament then you may act on that alone.
When Brexit is off the radar other challenges may assert themselves and we shall have to wait and see.
