Hi Tim,
I'm 25 and moving down to Hastings in 2 weeks to be nearer to my best mate who is studying there. I don't know loads of people, but enough to be recognised in the street!. I am a civil servant and I'm going to have to commute until I can find a decent job down there. I still haven't found anywhere to live yet either!!! Just moving on a whim as I'm stressed in London.
Mail me back if ur interested!!!
Ciao

Have you had any luck yet getting a job or finding anywhere to live? I maybe in the same position soon. Tell me if you find any job agencies that are any good.
Cheers

Strange thing to say Hazel. I don't know anyone who has moved back to London after living here. Obviously we are all entitled to our own opinions but i'd like to hear more about your situation. What makes you say "Move back to London mate!". I don't see any advantage of being in London to be honest.

Re: New to the area
I'm with you Magdalene. I moved down here from London 18 months ago to escape the violence - my son was mugged four times in the 12 months before we moved - and we lived in a nice area. Down here he feels safe as he says that the meanest gang members down here are pussycats compared to the London thugs! We used to watch a lot of TV in London but now we rarely have the time. There is a choice of free live music every night of the week in the pubs, there are masses of community organisations to join, and if the cat sneezes they seem to celebrate it down here!!! It's a real party town and I'd never go back to London.
