We can't put glass into the pink recycling plastic bags supplied by the Council.
What happens to it?
It goes into land fill and stays there for hundreds of years
I don't understand why there is no facility for glass recycling unless you fancy a trip to Morrisons_ _ _

Re: Is Glass worth recycling?
I was pretty annoyed when they got rid of the glass recycling by the Bo-Peep (at the bottom of my road). But since then have found a couple of small scale glass recycling bins not too far away.
1. Cinque Ports Way
2. Old Bulverhythe Pub car park (now Mary's Food Market)
And then on a larger scale of course there's Sainsbury's and Ravenside opposite Wickes.
Any more to add to the list?

I'll pop a question to the Council and see why they can't collect from the doorstep as per the pink bag - I'm sure there are grants for funding.

Re: Is Glass worth recycling?
Its simply ridiculous how glass is not collected along with the usual door to door recycling collection. Glass was the first material (along with paper) that was recycled some 30 years ago! The
Council expect residents to collect and take their glasd to the few centres across the town. So obviously, most goes in the bin, then landfill!
